Are We Related?
Well, possibly. One of my interests is in family tree stuff. When my grandchildren arrived, I decided to find out some information about our ancestors in case they ever wanted to know. I started with people I knew, or remembered, and then progressed backwards. I have a family tree at ancestry.com, but here is a very much simpler form. It includes only my direct family. My husband's is over at Ancestry.
My birth family
I was born Sally Farrell, the second daughter of George Farrell and Patricia Bonney. I have one elder sister; Anne.

My great grandparents
My paternal grandmother, Mary Bellchambers, was the eldest daughter of William Bellchambers (1847-1900) and Bridget Smith (1861-1848)
My paternal grandfather, Arthur Charles Farrell, was the only son of Charles James Powell (1851-1926) and Lydia Cummins Gillard (1841-1916). He had half brothers and sisters through both parents. He was registered under his father's surname, but by the time he married Mary, he was using the surname "Farrell", which was a name Lydia also used sometimes. Three of his half brothers had the surname Farrell too - it was their father's name. Lydia's other son used his father's surname (Fleming) and her daughter, like Arthur, was registered under her father's surname (Dixon) but later used "Farrell". Lydia's original surname was Gillard. She married a man named Fleming, eloped with a man named Farrell, had a son with a man named Powell and married a man named Dixon...she was buried as Lydia Farrell. Confused? So am I.
My maternal grandmother, Elsie Bonney, was the elder daughter of Thomas Bonney (1861-1941) and Mary Ann French (1870-1944). She had one sister.
My maternal grandfather, Thomas George Lomer, was the son of Thomas Cox Lomer (1859-1937) and Mary Jane Gray (1861-1939)
